I didn’t like turning 30 and was even less impressed when 40 rolled around but now that I’m on the cusp of my 50th I’m pretty settled. Not the boring kind of settled where each day is Ground Hogg day; no I’m talking the happy in my own skin kind of settled.

I’m looking forward to my trip to Egypt and Greece in May this year. The trip is my husband’s and my birthday gift to each other as we both turn 50 this year. It’s the culmination of a lifetime of desire since I saw For Your Eyes Only in my early teens. This trip will really give me a chance to sink my teeth into some culture and inspire future writing.

I was planning a gap year, to write more and do some exploring, but you know the saying ‘the best laid plans of mice and men’. It looks like the gap year is on hold but either way, the summer here is nearly over and soon I’ll be pulling out the draft for book 2 in The Eternal Realm series. I’m basing this story on Delilah and I am really looking forward to sharing behind the scenes of the most misrepresented woman of the Bible (in my opinion).
